Copyright / DMCA Policy

We respect intellectual-property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content on LunaCat infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act.

Reporting infringement

To report content you believe infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright Notice.” Under the EU e-Commerce framework and, for US rightsholders, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), your notice should include:

  • your name and contact details, and, if you act for the rightsholder, your authority to do so;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
  • a link to, or clear description of, the allegedly infringing content so we can locate it;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rightsholder, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury (for DMCA notices), that you are authorised to act;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

When we receive a valid notice, we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the content and, where we can, notify the user who provided it. We may keep a record of notices. Repeat infringers' accounts may be terminated.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your contact details, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was in error, and your signature. If appropriate, we may restore the content.

Misuse

Submitting a materially false notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability. Please only report content you genuinely believe infringes your rights.
