Legal
Terms of Service
These terms are a binding agreement between you and LunaCat. By using LunaCat you accept them. LunaCat is strictly for adults 18 and older.
1. Who we are
LunaCat (“LunaCat,” “we,” “us”) is operated by [[LEGAL NAME — e.g. Firstname Lastname e.v.]], a Egyéni vállalkozó (Hungarian sole trader) established in Hungary. Full operator details are in our Imprint. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the other documents in our Legal Information section, form the whole agreement between us.
2. Eligibility (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old, and of the age of majority where you live, to use LunaCat. We operate an age gate and require you to confirm your age. By using LunaCat you represent that you meet this requirement. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will close the account. See our Underage & Age Verification Policy.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account or let anyone under 18 access it. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. What LunaCat is
LunaCat provides AI-generated virtual companions for entertainment. Every companion is fictional and fully AI-generated. Companions are not real people, are not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, psychological or otherwise) or for real human relationships, and their messages should not be relied on as fact.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LunaCat to create, request, upload or share any content that is prohibited under our Prohibited Content Policy. In particular, you may not attempt to create or obtain content that depicts minors, real identifiable people, non-consensual acts, or anything unlawful, and you may not use the service to harass, threaten, defraud or harm others, to reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or to circumvent its safety measures. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and we may report unlawful content to the authorities.
6. Subscriptions, token packs, payments and renewals
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown before you buy and include applicable taxes where required. Paid plans renew automatically for successive periods at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments are handled by our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card details. We may change prices or features with reasonable advance notice.
Token packs. Subscribers can buy one-time token packs to generate extra media (for example photos) beyond the monthly allotment included in their plan. Tokens are credited to your account immediately after successful payment and are consumed when you use them. Tokens are not a currency: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged for money, and do not renew — but purchased tokens do not expire while your account remains open. If a token purchase is refunded, reversed or charged back, we may deduct the corresponding tokens from your balance. If your account is terminated for a serious breach of these Terms, unused tokens may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law.
7. Right of withdrawal & refunds
As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. However, for digital content and digital services supplied immediately, you expressly agree that we begin performance right away and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun (as permitted under EU consumer law and the Hungarian implementing rules). This applies to subscriptions and to one-time token packs alike: tokens are digital content credited to your account immediately at purchase, so once they have been credited the 14-day withdrawal right lapses. Where a refund is required by law, or where we choose to grant one, it will be made using the same payment method you used. Statutory warranty rights for consumers are not affected by this clause.
8. Your content and licence
You keep any rights you have in the prompts and inputs you provide. You grant us a limited licence to process your inputs and the content generated for you so that we can operate and improve the service. Generated content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for how you use content you generate.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep LunaCat available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we will give notice by a reasonable means, and continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.
10. Disclaimer and liability
LunaCat is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you have your habitual residence. Disputes will be handled by the courts having jurisdiction under those rules. You can also use the EU online dispute-resolution platform referenced in our Imprint.
