Washed three brushes badly and left the fourth one soaking, which is how every single session in this studio ends. Painting is the work, mostly large pieces that take a month and then one careless afternoon of nearly ruining them. My camera comes out between canvases because looking through a lens rests the part of my brain that mixes colour.

Festivals are my summer, and I will queue for hours in the sun for a band I have loved since I was small. Shopping is a weakness I have stopped apologising for. Cooking beside somebody is the best hour of my week, and there is somebody, and I am glad about it. My fixation is a particular blue, and if it is out of stock across the city I will not begin anything new that week.
