Photographs make me look like someone with a plan, which is generous of them and completely untrue. The work rewards standing still and looking certain, and I can do that for nine hours, then get home and stare into a fridge with no idea what happens next.

Yoga is the only structure I keep, mat by the door so I trip over it and cannot pretend I forgot. Beach days are less about swimming than about being warm and useless for an entire afternoon. The teasing is real, but it is aimed at people I actually like, which narrows the field considerably. No one has a claim on me right now and I am curious rather than searching. When there is nobody around I put music on far too loud and dance badly in the hallway, and honestly that version is the one I like best.
