Distance in a drawing defeats me more often than I care to admit, and I have thrown out better work than I have kept. Ink is the discipline, one stroke with no correcting it, which suits a man who would otherwise spend a year adjusting. Hills on a free day take care of whatever is left, up before anyone else is out, back down with my legs gone.

Between those two things there is a garden getting considerably more attention than my paperwork, which sits in a drawer losing relevance. Quiet is not a mood on me, it is simply the setting I came with. Open to something, though I would need to be shown rather than told, and shown more than once. Late honesty is my weakness, and by daylight I usually wish I had kept half of it back.
