Cicadas outside and the fan losing to them, that is the sound of this flat from June until the end of September. Photography pays for everything else, mostly festivals and weddings and whatever somebody needs shot by Friday afternoon with no notice at all. Between jobs I am down at the water with a camera I promised myself I would leave behind, and that camera has yet to stay at home even once.

Shopping happens in bursts, usually the day an invoice clears, and I regret about a third of it. Teasing is my first language, and no apology is coming for that either. Open to something new is the honest answer, and I mean new, not a rerun of the last one. There is a roll of film in the drawer I have never developed, and no plans to tell anybody why.
