Sitting on the floor with my back against the bed, laptop balanced on a cushion, three highlighters and no plan. Term is heavy right now, so studying happens in bursts at hours that make no sense to anybody, mine included. My flatmate cooks and I hover, chopping badly and stealing whatever is nearest to hand.

Shopping is my reset, and I would rather try on eleven things and buy none of them than do it properly. Travelling at short notice is the fastest way out of a bad week, and my bag never fully unpacks. Things are complicated and I refuse to pretend otherwise. Late at night is when I make sense, which is inconvenient for everyone including me. So tell me, which thing would you do this year if not one person you know ever heard a word about it?
