Cancelling on a study group at the last minute was today's small cowardice, and I did it while still lying on the yoga mat, which makes it worse. University is going well enough that nobody asks about it and badly enough that I would not want them to. Travel is the reward I keep promising myself and occasionally deliver on.

Cooking with someone is my favourite version of company, no plan, whatever survives in the fridge. Late nights are when I am actually myself, which is inconvenient for everybody who has to see me before noon. Complicated is where things sit for me and dressing that up would only waste both our evenings. The morning always hands me the same regret, an extra hour of talking where I said something true too early.
