Editing eats the days I would rather spend anywhere else, four hundred photographs of one harbour and exactly one of them worth keeping. Travelling itself never wears out, not even the bad bus at four in the morning with a bag on my knees. Between trips I am home, cooking for whoever turns up, talking until the neighbours give up on us and go to bed.

Beaches get more of my year than any serious person would ever admit to in print. The photographs people like best are always the ones I nearly deleted. Curious about whatever comes next, and honest enough to admit I have no idea what shape it should take. Alone in the flat I put music on far too loud and dance very badly in the hallway, and that is the version of me nobody has ever photographed.
