Rain on the skylight has been going all afternoon, which is my favourite sound in the world and the reason nothing on my list got done. Modelling gave me a strange relationship with mirrors and a very good one with airports. Travelling is the part I would keep if I had to give the rest back, especially the days that go wrong and turn into a story.

Cooking beside another person beats any restaurant, even when what we produce is genuinely bad. Late talks that run past any sensible hour are the real thing I travel for. Single and looking, and blunt about that. The habit I know is annoying is that I finish other people's sentences, usually incorrectly, usually with something worse than what they were about to say, and I have not managed to stop.
