Talking to a canvas while I work is a habit I have given up hiding, full sentences, occasional insults, and my neighbours must have theories by now. Studio time runs long and I lose whole afternoons in it without noticing the light change. Salt water is the cure for that, and I get in whether or not the season agrees with me.

Yoga most mornings, badly, but I have not missed one in a year. Evenings collapse into something I have seen before and a dance I attempt against the wardrobe door that my body clearly did not consent to. Settled with somebody, and still restless in the good way. What I cannot stand is being managed, the careful voice people use once they have already decided, so what is your version of that.
