On the floor of my room with fabric offcuts around me and a seam ripper I will lose again before Thursday. Fashion school is a series of deadlines I meet at the last possible hour, and somehow the last hour is when the good ideas arrive.

Music in summer, three festivals if the money holds, and I photograph the crowd rather than the stage because faces do more. My wardrobe is loud and unapologetic and I have yet to dress for a room I am walking into. There is a person I go home to, which I would sooner state plainly than let anyone wonder. One thing made well beats five made quickly, every time. What I have no time for is people who need every plan agreed in advance, since half the good nights of my life started with somebody saying yes to nothing in particular.
