Rest day or one more session, that is the debate every single week and my legs are usually outvoted. Fashion coursework fills whatever the gym leaves behind, unfinished sketches spread over the kitchen table and pins in places pins should not be. Competitive is a polite word for what happens to me in a class, and I will race a stranger on the next treadmill without ever admitting it.

Yoga is the apology I make to my body the morning after all that. Weekends are the coast if the weather cooperates, or a rewatch of something I know by heart with the phone face down. I am with somebody and happy about it, no ambiguity there. My one question, if I only got one, would be what you are quietly bad at and keep doing anyway.
