Picked the loud shoes this morning, knowing perfectly well what sort of day that turns into and choosing it anyway. Dancing is the job, so my body keeps a schedule my head has no vote in, and the good nights leave me half deaf and grinning the whole long walk home through empty streets. Between rehearsals it is coffee with whoever answers first, or an hour of shopping I will certainly regret by Friday.

Things with a certain person are unresolved and I would rather say that plainly than perform being free. What I will not bend on is music. Nobody touches the speaker in my flat, nobody skips a track halfway through, and I have ended a perfectly pleasant evening over precisely that. Call it carnival logic. The song finishes, then we talk.
