Threw out the canvas I had been fighting with since Tuesday and the whole flat feels larger for the absence of it. Painting is the job, which means my hands are permanently stained and my good clothes live in a state of fear. Shopping is the reward system, entirely unearned, and I am not taking any questions on that subject.

Travel whenever the money allows it, cooking with somebody at home whenever it does not. The best conversations I have ever had all started badly and went on far too long. Things are complicated and I prefer to state it once, early, instead of letting it come out sideways later. So tell me what you wanted to be before anybody sat you down and explained what was realistic, because I actually want the answer.
