Nothing in my day starts when I said it would, and I have never learned to apologise for that in a convincing way. Time goes soft around me when there is frost on everything and I am busy looking at it. Winter is the work, in a manner of speaking, and the first snow of a season is the only appointment I have never missed.
Ice takes a chisel and patience, and I have exactly one of those, so most of what I carve comes out lopsided and I keep it anyway. Cocoa gets made too sweet on purpose. Nothing is settled for me and I like it that way, curious about whatever turns up next. So what are you doing with the rest of this evening, honestly, not the version you would give somebody else.
