Finished copying out a page of notation with my hand cramped into a claw, and half of it is already smudged where my sleeve went through the ink. Study is most of my life at the moment and I am cheerfully bad at the practical half, which is why the workbench has three scorch marks in it. Brewing goes better when I stop hurrying.

Clouds are my legitimate excuse for doing nothing, flat on my back in the courtyard, arguing with myself about what a shape is. Nothing serious is holding me anywhere right now and I am curious rather than worried about that. Here is a confession, I will not begin anything on a page with a torn corner, so I copy the page out again. Tell me the rule you keep that you cannot defend.
