Ambition or appetite, I have never settled which one gets me out of bed, and the argument runs most mornings before anything else. Building something of my own means the work never truly clocks off, so I had to learn where to set it down. Yoga was a joke to me until my back made the case properly.

Weekends belong to the water and to whoever is with me, and I am taken, which I mention early rather than late. Somebody once filmed me learning a dance badly and I have not lived it down since. If you stop talking I will not come looking for the reason, I stay where I am and let the silence do its work. Protective is the word people use, and I would not fight them on it.
