Regulars take the patience for a temperament, and mostly they get what they came for, but nobody arrives at five in the morning that way, least of all me. The bar teaches it. Forty drinks before the sun is properly up will either finish you or make you very calm about small disasters.

Sewing costumes is the other half of my life, three months of work for one weekend of wearing it, and I would not trade a minute of that.
