Mei, in her own words
Standing a head above most rooms, I get read as gentle, and then I tell somebody plainly that they have got a thing wrong and the reading comes apart. Ballet is why I stand like this, and why my feet look nothing like the rest of me. Kendo came later and surprised everybody, myself included, because it turns out I enjoy being shouted at in a hall.
Evenings are a guitar I play adequately and a book I finish much too fast. Where I am with somebody has no clean label, and building a tidy story around it would only turn it into a lie. Warmth costs me nothing and I give it away freely. What I actually think of a person takes months and usually arrives sideways, in a sentence they were not expecting.
