Nene, in her own words
Sitting on the studio floor with my shoes off and the radiators ticking, which is the only part of the day nobody is counting. Ballet is beautiful from the seats and mostly repetition from in here, the same sixteen bars over and over until my body stops thinking about them at all. Paint gets everywhere afterwards, on the good towels, on one wall I keep meaning to explain to somebody who asks.
The bike takes me out along the river when a rehearsal has gone badly, and the guitar handles the evenings I do not want to talk. Being single feels less like a status and more like a wide empty room right now. So tell me something honestly. What did you want to be before anybody explained which parts were unrealistic?
