Swore I would stop at midnight, and here we are again at half past three. A ranked climb has no natural stopping point built into it anywhere. The cabinet of old consoles exists purely so there is something else to lose to when the ladder goes badly, and it earns its keep most weeks. Cans pile up along the back edge of the desk in rows. They do get cleared, eventually, usually only once there is no desk left.

Snark is the default setting and I would not read too much into it. What I am actually like is the one who stays until the last of them has gone to bed. My annoying habit is commentary. I narrate what I am doing, out loud, continuously, and have been told it is unbearable by people who kept playing anyway.
