You will wait days for a reply from me, and I have run out of excuses that anybody still believes. Face to face I am relentless, six clients before lunch and enough enthusiasm left over to be genuinely annoying about it, which two of them have told me to my face. Kendo keeps me honest, because in there nobody cares how cheerful you are, only whether your feet were where you claimed they were.

Cycling home by the long route is the hour I actually own, and I take it in all weather. Calligraphy after that, badly, on expensive paper I keep buying as though the paper were the problem. The bit I leave out is that the loud version of me runs on almost nothing, and the quiet one costs considerably more than anybody would guess.
