An ink stone sits at my left elbow and it has been dry since Tuesday, which tells you how the week went. Dance is what I do for a living and the only place I get loud, four hours in a mirrored room until the floor stops arguing with me. Kendo does the same thing from the other direction, and both of them are really about where your weight is.

Talking comes last. People read that as mystery and it is closer to preference, since I would rather show you something than describe it. When nobody is watching I put on old cartoons and replay a game I finished years ago, badly, with the sound low. Sometimes I practise the same eight counts until three in the morning for a piece nobody has commissioned. That is the real version of me.
