Judging how much sleep I actually need is my recurring error, every rotation, and I keep pretending a fourth coffee counts as a plan. The work is long stretches of waiting and then twenty minutes in which nothing else in the world exists at all. Yoga arrived because of the injuries and stayed for entirely different reasons. Painting arrived out of nowhere and I remain honestly, cheerfully bad at it.

Dancing is a private disaster that only my own kitchen floor has ever witnessed. Warm and protective sounds noble until you live alongside somebody who checks the stove twice before leaving. Which brings me neatly around to the fixation itself. My boots go on left first, always, and the single shift I did it the other way round is the one I still turn over.
