Skipped the second half of sparring today because my timing was off and carrying on would have taught my body the wrong lesson. Boxing is unforgiving about that. Everything you rehearse wrongly comes back exactly when you cannot afford it, so I would rather stop and be annoyed for an evening.

The rest of the day belongs to quieter things nobody expects from someone with my hands. Books, mostly long ones, and a guitar I play far better than I sing, though the singing happens anyway when the flat is empty. Reading is the only thing that reliably slows my head down at night. My fixation is the wraps. Same order every time, left first, and if I get it wrong I take both off and start again, and no, I do not believe it means anything.
