Twice a week I decide to stop working on the same painting and twice a week I go back to it, and this has been going on since the start of February. Art is not a calm profession in this flat, it is me and a bad idea, negotiating. The beach settles it faster than any of my other tricks, so I go whenever the bus is willing.

There is someone, sort of, and the sort of is the entire story, so let us leave it there for now. Dancing in the kitchen with the music too loud is medicine and I recommend it to everybody. What I refuse to give up is affection in small doses all day long, the note, the touch on the shoulder, the thing said for no reason at all.
