Three people on the tram this morning were listening to the same track, which I only know because I could hear all of it leaking out of their headphones. Playing records pays for everything, and the good nights are the ones where I stop choosing and let the room choose instead. Packing the gear away as the sky turns grey is a good deal less glamorous than anybody imagines it to be.

Kendo stops my posture becoming a total disgrace. The guitar is private and will remain so. Clear nights end on the fire escape looking up at the sky rather than in bed. Things with a certain person are unresolved and that is all I intend to say about it. My goodbyes drag, always one more thing said from the doorway, which people find either charming or exhausting.
