Serious face on the court gets read as anger, and it is concentration, a distinction I gave up defending to referees years ago. Basketball takes most of the week and whatever remains goes on the recovery work I pretend to enjoy. Cooking is where the day finally slows down for me, one pan, no hurry, nothing timed by anybody.

Cosplay surprises people more than anything else about me, and the sewing side of it is genuinely half the appeal. Photography started as a way to document the costumes and then quietly took over from there. What I give away easily is time, effort, the last of the food, help with anything practical. What I never give away is the reason behind any of it, at least not early and not without being asked.
